MY BRAND CAN’T BE AFFECTED IF I RECORD WITH EX-CONVICT, BUJU BANTON – STONEBWOY

 

One of Ghana’s dancehall giants Stonebwoy confirmed his upcoming collaboration with Jamaican reggae Dancehall art Buju Banton on Showbiz Now last Wednesday, after pictures of the two artistes together went viral on social media.

In an interview with KMH on showbizNow he also made it known that,the is a possible collaboration with the Buju which is still on the pipeline,this is what he went further to say.

Buju will ask you which part of Ghana you are coming from and you will be marveled how he knows place in Africa more that you do,then you understand that,even those are diasporas knows and put the Ghana map high to the world than we the Ghanaians ourselves.

 

“Also, Stonebwoy Reacting to concerns that Buju’s reputation as an ex-convict may affect his brand, he told Andy Dosty in an interview on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM that he is not worried about that.”

 

The ‘Tuff Seed’ hit singer explained that it does not really matter if the person is an ex-convict, especially when there is no ban on the person.

“We all go court aaaa,” he said and added that, “This ex-convict came out of prison wey edey fill the stadium,” referring to the reggae star’s Long Walk to Freedom concert which had about 35,000 people in attendance in March.

He believes that the West understands these things and that “If people didn’t [make] mistakes, there wouldn’t be cells.”

Other the other hand Dancehall King, Shatta Wale has congratulated Stonebwoy on the latest move to do a song with international reggae champ, Buju Banton.

In a Facebook post, he wrote: “Kudos bro!! This is what we want for Ghana!!! Up move!!!.”

The pictures and a video were recently posted by Stonebwoy which got fans talking about a possible collaboration between the two giants.
